Currently I feed my 3 guppies Wardley Tropical Premium Flakes (crushed to smaller pieces) every morning and night on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And then feeding them TetraMin Tropical Flakes (Trial size) every other day except Sunday. I ask because I do not know what other types of tropical fish food is out. Also, can I get some opinions on the TetraMin Tropical Flakes? Thanks Cheers Last edited by pcktlnt at 20-Dec-2005 01:27 |

The animal food this company makes seems to be of low quality. I pitched my container for that reason but I can't find much detailed fish nutrition info to see if it is as bad as other products. Even if it isn't that bad I don't want to support this company. Since they manage to spread their name everywhere so everyone knows about their products and are one of the main companies low price retailers buy from, it probably won't happen. Tetra products are ok. I don't rate them real high but they are better than hartz products. Alot of people like them and they seem to put at least some thought into making a quality product instead of just using the cheapest ingredients available. Mostly I have New Life Spectrum pellets which are near the higher end of quality but still not perfect as far as I'm concerned. I haven't really found a fish food I like yet so I'm feeding mostly frozen and fresh foods. On days I don't have time I give them a mix of new life spectrum, Hikari micro pellets, and pro balance color flakes. I think I like pro balance flakes the best for flake foods. Hikari is another popular and higher quality brand. Last edited by sirbooks at 21-Dec-2005 14:24 |

You can compair the products by checking the Protein, Fat, Ash etc. etc, on the tubs. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
