Guppy Fry!! | |
SamanthaStorm Enthusiast Posts: 190 Kudos: 190 Votes: 51 Registered: 11-Nov-2004 | Hey Guys, SO i came home tonite after being out all day and found some more fry! I moved them into my ten gallon, but i had to remove the filter because it would be to strong for them. Are they goin to be ok without one, or is there a way to fry-proof my filter? Also , do they need anything to oxygenate their water, or are the ok? Thanks Guys! Sam |

Then once they get bigger, I put a filter on the tank, and put it to its lowest output, and put a sponge over the intake so it doesn't suck up the guppies. |

The airstone moves a bit of water to circulate the heat from the heater, otherwise the water far from the heater wont really get warm. It also oxygenates the water which is good, since there isn't much oxygen exchange without any current or airstones. It will also prevent any oil/slime from forming on the surface which deprives oxygen exchange even more... A light on the guppy fry tank for 12-14 hours a day has proved to increase guppy growth also, incase you don't already ahve one. |
