Guppy baby tank | |
blazergirl Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 75 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jun-2005 | HEy- I have three tanks now, and one I am using exclusively as a baby guppy tanks. The tank is a simple five gallon tank with a filter and light, just wanted to make sure that this is a good idea for the baby guppies that are on the way any day now.... I have 5 pregnant moms and they were that way when I got them about 2.5 weeks ago... I am going to add a heater as the baby guppies appearently grow faster in warmer water... does this seem like a good set-up. ALso the males and females are seperated... and then there is a totally seperate 55 gallon tank... if anyone has any input on this please let me know... I want to make sure this wonderful little guys are happy...thanks |

Once they get bigger than anyone else's mouth in the bigger tanks I would move them out to help their rapid growth. Also having the heat around 82 degrees F or so will help them grow by increasing their me |

This will help the fry grow faster. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
