I have a mother guppy about to have some babies again. I have two dwarf puffers in a 10g and was wondering if I should take her out and put her in with them... I want my fish to be happy and feel sorry for her if I put her in there alone with them. But my young puffers would be super happy right? I'm feeding back worms alone now and they love them. I also put two kinds of unknown snails in there but have not been able to confirm if they snacked on them for their beaks. I don't know how to moniter there beaks... Will fish fry help their beaks? I have a breeding net also, would that be better to use then take her out and then feed them the fry daily? Poor fry... Should I loose my weakness towards the killing of a living creature? I know it's just the cycle of life.

No, keep your dwarf puffers a species only tank.

in my experience dwarf puffers can be kept with fast moving or more agressive fish, but not guppys.

Dwarf puffers would tear apart the guppies fins in a heart beat. They should only be kept with fast fish that are agressive and even then i would reccomend a speieces tank only for a dwarf puff

tigerbarbs are a suitable tank mate for dwarf puffers. I don't have one nipped fin in my tank. The tiger barbs are just so fast the puffers don't want anything to do with them they just mind their own.

i dont know much about dwarf puffers, but i think your best idea was the breading net and feeding the puffers the fry once you have the female back with the other guppies. someone who knowsmore about puffers could tell you about the beaks...hope that helped a little
