I had some guppies for 3years. I know others that have had them live 5years. I would say depending on the quality of their breeding if well taken care of they should live at least around 2years. Females kept in with males and giving birth constantly will probably live shorter lifespans than males or females that aren't constantly having fry.

I also think that they live for around 2 years. I am new with these type of fish & only have a few in my planted tank, but from what i've heared, they adapt well & have lots of fry.

I think they could live a few years. When i but them from the LFS, they never seem to live very long. So i got a pregnant female and when she had her babies i kept them and they and their offspring did very well. The ones i bread have lived for almost a year, and they seem to be doing quite well.

Good luck with your fish!
