angelkiekie Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Apr-2005 | I have two balloon mollies my black one is my female and my white one is my male. How can I tell if she is pregnante? Also does anyone mollies like having their light on like all the time? |

Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 | Welcome to FP And BettaChris is right...you have a big problem trying to tell if a balloon molly much less a black balloon molly is pregnant. Your best bet is to wait it out, if you don't have fry within the next month or so, then you can assume she wasn't pregnant...of course if mollies are like other livebearers by the time you assume she isn't pregnant she will be pregnant and then all the fun begins. Make sure she has plenty of plants to hide in, and that will also help with the survival of the fry when they come. For feeding, take your normal fish flakes and grind them to dust and sprinkle lightly.
