Just curious; the profile here says 3 years, but what has other people's experiences been? Is it different from male or female, whether they're kept at higher/lower temps, etc.? I've got a couple of unexplained deaths recently (http://www.fishprofiles.com/interactive/forums/findthread.asp?id=65428) after only having them for 6 months.

Thanks!

I'd probably say a max of 3-4 years, but jusging by size and the fact that they are often kept at higher trop temps, i'd guess the average would be more like 20 months.
