Just yesterday one of my guppys that was born in my tank gave birth to 7 very healthy fry (that are munching on brine shrimp.) Just curious, how many generations of guppies have you had in your fish keeping experiences?

2 and then I seperated all the males from the females and kept about 8 of the most colorful males in my 90g and 3 of the best females in the 10g. The rest went to the store. All the guppies I kept came from a planned pairing of 1 yellow snakeskin female with males of various colors that I liked and found in different stores. I was very careful to seperate out young males from females since I barely had the tank space for all the babies from planned pairings. I still ended up with something like 200 guppies before I found a store to take them.
