My new platy is only staying at the top of the tank near the heater. She a Micky Mouse platy, been in my tank for about 2 days. She looks ver healthy and is a beautiful fish. She doesnt appear to be sick in any way. My male platy is normal and happy. He is not bothering her at all. The tank is about 78 degrees. None of the fish are sick. Her fins, gils, eyes, mouth, you name it looks healthy. Is this her natural behavior? As soon as i let her in the tank she was normal and exploring like all platys. My other fish are starting to follow her up to top the tank *sigh* She looks perfect what can I do?

I hope shes ok, and probably is.

tank size and other fishes in the tank would be good.

give her time, she is new so i would let her get a few days to adjust. the tank must be fine if the others are ok. maybe she is just shy.

10 gall, just small tetras, a molly(leaves her alone), and a male platy. None of the fish bother her, hes not not even to frisky for a live beraer.

hmm, due to being new, i might say she's a little stressed from the move. add a little bit of salt to the water, and give her a few days.

when you say small tetras.. what are we talking here?
