I have fry! | |
fishyfishy26 Hobbyist Posts: 62 Kudos: 12 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Mar-2007 | Not many though cause they were eaten! I thought they had plenty of hiding places being that they are in a 55gal tank. but I guess not. Today I've seen like 2-3 survivors..I think they are platy fry cause my molly still looks preg. I saw at least 3 being eaten up but I know she had more than 6 fry! A tip I learned: Don't turn the lights off in the tank if there are fry in there! They will go up to the top of the tank, out of their safe hiding places in the plants and then when the lights come back on they will for sure be eaten before being able to reach their hiding spots. Learned that the hard way |

I always keep some floating Cabomba & Duckweed in my tanks, especiall where i keep the Mollies. BTW. Hope you'll get some & see more fry very soon. http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
