jefferysgirl Hobbyist Posts: 124 Kudos: 91 Registered: 22-Jun-2004 | WOOT!!! My roommate and i just found 13 new baby guppies. We know for a fact that the mother ate one b/c we saw her do it. I wonder how many she ate before we realized that she ahd had them. I hadn't realized how big my first batch of fry had gotten until i put my littlest ones in the breeder net. I have my 4 week olds in a 10 gal. w/ the net breeder in it. |

Anyway, congratulations, Jefferysgirl. Good luck, too, since you might end up with a second breeder's net in that 10-gallon tank. |

Now let's see that makes 11 from the last batch, and 13 this batch, so 24, unless there are some hiding, and you never can tell:%)well, you know what I'm gonna sayStart counting in another month you'll have another batch of fry!!! You can get it at walmart and most petstore/fishstore. Good Luck Last edited by Fluffy at 03-Mar-2005 17:15 |

jefferysgirl Hobbyist Posts: 124 Kudos: 91 Registered: 22-Jun-2004 | Well I still have 13 little fry and they are a little over a week old. Still got my 6 older ones!!! I can't wait to see what my oldest babies look like when they get their colors. I have an LFS willing to buy my guppy babies b/c the ones they get are so inbred that they die off in a matter of days. Of over 400 guppies about 200 died in transit and only 40 made it through quarentine!!! he said that if i could get mine to mate with some of the ones he has then we should be able to have hardier fish and he would buy them all from me when they were old enough!! |

I think they are going to be yellow. they have little black dots on thier tails and bodies. is that any specific kind of coloration? I am not familiar with the different types f patterns. |
