Info on Breeding Sailfin molly's needed! | |
burkwood369 Small Fry Posts: 3 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-May-2005 | [font color="#C00000"]Hi there i am a complete Neewbie when it comes to breeding sailfin molly's, i have bought 1 male sailfin and 3 female sailfin mollies and was after information on how to get them in breeding condition? they are in a 25 gal tank (36 x 12 x 12) with a pair of paradise fish and any info would be greatfully recieved.any info on paradise fish would be good as well![/font] |

bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 | when i bred mollies. i left them in the tank and let them do there thing. when u see one of the females on the top with fins clamped, then i would move her into a breeding trap. but u can also try making the tank heavly planted so maybe a few fry would make it and then u can take them out and put them into their own tank. as with paradice fish, u can breed them like bettas. |

Spirulina flakes and wafers are very good for that as well as feedings of blood worms. Increasing the temp in the tank a degree or two and just be patient. For fry survival java moss works wonders.
