I think she may be pregnant so I have her in a breeding container but I'm not sure:

Sorry, my pics aren't of good quality.

I would say yes, but take her out of the container. She will remain pregnant for 2-3 months, having babies every month or so. You can't expect her to stay in there all the time.

If you have a male guppy, chances are your female will always be pregnant.

yes she is pregnant, and a fun fact about female livebearers is that they store sperm so if the male dies, she can still drop maybe 1-2 more times.

I agree that it is pregnant, but mine was fatter than that for almost two weeks, so take her out so that she is not stressed.

Good Luck with the spawn.

PS and by the way are those plants wistera in the background?

Thanks for the replies,

I will take her out and probably wait another 1 - 2 weeks till I put her back in. And yes, the plants in the background are my wisteria

Personally, I'd just never put her in one of those things. You don't know when she'll give birth, and she may have already. After she gives birth, her stomach will still remain large, still due to the stored sperm. Also, since there (i'm assuming) are male guppies in the tank, she will most likely forever remain pregenant. The only time I would put her in one of those breeding containers is if I see that she is dropping babies at the exact time you are looking at her.

Seedkiros is right, i only put here in once shes had one, and it is not worth it to stress her. So i would keep her in the tank and keep your eye out for the fry.

By the way i really like the plants, i dont know much but im looking for some plants for my tank so i was curious.

I also think she is pregnant, but take her out & leave her in the tank. To save some of the fry, put some floating plants & the fry can hide there.

If you happen to see that she has a small bump about 1/2mm where the fry come out, then she should give birth very soon.
