I've never kept all male guppies before. Would 3-4 males get along with no fighting or would there be some shredded tails?

I've heard it can be done, depends on the size of the tank, number of guppies, and hiding places. Here's a good thread about it.

Yes keeping males together is fine. It is best if you start with younger ones rather than adults though.

I have a whole 10 of only males that I use for breeding. There has been up to 9 of them in there at one time.

Sometimes they chase each other, but it has never gotten to the point where it was a problem.

Like I said I think it is best you get the youngest ones you can find and try to get them all the same size.

Due to inheriting a tank with only 6 guppies and my lack of knowledge at the time (about February) I now have a tank with 60 males only in an attempt to segregate the sexes.

Apart from the psychological problems I may be causing there seems to be no fighting although a lot of "flirting" and chasing goes on.

The all female tank on the other hand is very sedate and calm.

Okay thanks. I don't want them trying to mate with each other or having any shredded tails so I'll skip the guppy idea. Thanks again.
