i found it really messy to use that liquid fry food, but i did use crushed up flakes and the fry when after that.

how long did it take your fry to grow enough to be safe in your main tank

i never do, my personal rule, never to let fry into tanks with adults,

just remember that if you do, u are risking it, and if you feel the risk isn't worth it, than dont do it.

but of course when they are bigger and cant be eatten than go ahead.

I never use liquid fry-food. Livebear fry are good-sized, especially at 3 weeks old. I put regular flake, spirulina, and freeze-dried bloodworms in a bag, crush until it's a fine powder, and that's fry-food

I use a baster to do any cleaning in a breeder net.

Growth-rate of fry depends on frequency of feedings, water quality, and water temperature.

my molly fry take very fine food at birth. i took alittle bit of each kind of food i have from alge disks to freeze dried blood worms and crushed them all up and i use that for feeding, they seem to love it.

er...liquid fry food?? Wot on earth is that?! Don't get it here in Scotland - not as far as i'm aware anyhoo - i feed all my fry on powdered fry-food. My mollie fry (a twenty-plus mixture of black and dalmations) are about a month old now (in a breeder tank) and have been eating flakes since a fortnight ago, and as of today, peas also. They went mad when the peas went in!

Best wishes,

Bettina
