One of my mollies had some fry. I have them in a 20 gallon tank that is cycling (with 4 other mollies). I was wondering if I should move them to my other 10 gallon tank. It has 2 guppies, one smaller molly, 2 neon tetras and 2 danios. I have the fry in a breeding net but don't know if its alright to have them in a tank that is cycling. This is my first time dealing with fry.

Thanks

Jamie

It's better to put them in the fry net, as other Mollies might eat them. Also, don't put them in the 10Gal. tank, as they will become snack for the other fish.

My swordtails had fry a week and a half ago. I ran out and bought a 6 gallon set up and put them in there. The cycle isn't complete, but I do water changes every day or two and monitor the chem levels in the water. They seem to be doing fine, only lost one and that was the first day... So I wouldn't worry too much about the cycle as long as you are monitoring your levels closely. I wouldn't however put them in with the other fish...they will be goners...
