Wingsdlc Fish Guru What is this? Posts: 2332 Kudos: 799 Registered: 18-Jan-2005 | So I have heard that you can mix Guppies and Mollies to make Muppies. Has anyone done this? Does anyone have pictures? Thanks!! 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

You're right Cory Addict, & i also think that the problem is unfortunatly increasing. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

Wingsdlc Fish Guru What is this? Posts: 2332 Kudos: 799 Registered: 18-Jan-2005 | This is not something that I am looking to make a lot of them. I am just wondering if it is posible and by no means do I want to spread them around. I have a nice warmouth in another tank that could and would have them gone in a matter of minutes time. Sorry to offend everyone. 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

If two fishes are related closely enough(ususally share the same genus) and have no other alternative, they may interbreed. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

janenenc Hobbyist Posts: 113 Kudos: 35 Votes: 3 Registered: 20-Feb-2003 | Hmmm.. I just put 3 mollies into my tank with a 3 guppies and about 10 platies (about 7 of which are juveniles). I was just looking at the profiles and compatibility of mollies and other livebearers are not listed. Is putting these fish together a bad thing?? |

JQW Fish Addict Posts: 869 Kudos: 758 Registered: 09-Apr-2003 | Interbreeding is bad How would you like to see your cat breed with your dog? Putting those livebearers together is creating an opportunity for them to interbreed. In my opinion, a tank with all those three species housed together doesn't look as good as one of those specie. Apart from interbreeding, it looks too disordered IMO. I do have a picture of a Tigon (Tiger + Lion) |
