My Molly is internally bleeding!!!!!!! | |
Lawnboy41 Fingerling Posts: 32 Kudos: 29 Votes: 0 Registered: 22-Mar-2005 | My molly looks like it is bleeding internally. It is near the tail. One of the male mollies was chasing it around so I isolated it in a breeding net. She was trying to hide in the plants and the male kept chasing her. I added some salt to the aquarium. I think it might have an internal parasite...it sometimes has white stringy poo and sometimes red. It still eats like normal. Is there anything I should be doing to help her or is she doomed? PLEASE HELP!!!! Jamie |

Breeding traps stress out fish- there are really only good for fry What is your water parameters- its sounds more like water quality than injury- is the blood pooling up or streaking- if its streaking- Id do a large 50% water change. How long has your tank been running, what size, and how many other fish? What is the ammonia/ nitrite/ nitrate readings on the tank water ( now before a change) Edit due to poo- Ik if some of the flakes are red/ or color enhcnsing- that can make the poo red- white and stringy can be a bacterial infection OR parasite- but the blood issue is more important right now.
