As I posted in my other threads, I have recently adopted my parents guppys. I moved them to my tank that they share with some long finned gold danios. My New male keeps swimming up to one of the danios and attempts to mate with it? Is this normal or is this just a very confused guppy?

my guess it is would be semi normal behavour as they seem to be both small fishes, however it can't be considered normal as these fishes wouldn't see eachother in the wild.

The Danio's probally thinking "Hey! Who put this nutcase here?!?" If my guppy did that.. I'd wonder if there are fish Mental disabilities....

If pets are so stupid, how did they weasel free room and board out of us?

I have seen male guppies try to mate
with just about any fish.
They are insane.

It's normal. Guppies will try to mate with anything. Sometimes with fish that aren't even their size.

guppy males are typical males - they'll try to put that gonopodium of theirs anywhere.
