Platy babies + Brine Shrimp | |
scheibe Fingerling Posts: 19 Kudos: 22 Votes: 0 Registered: 27-Sep-2004 | I just wanted to let everyone know I am the proud papa of 36 little Platys. They are only two days old but all have survived thus far. Last time the female gave birth, she had at least 12 still born and only 4 live. So this is a much more successful birth. I am concentrating on keeping these little guys healthy by feeding them baby brine shrimp and crushed up flake food. Any other helpful tips? Also, can anyone help me with getting my brine shrimp to grow to adults? I always seem to lose them after a few days and I know it is because I don't know what to feed them. I read an article online about 'green water' and how some guy made some by putting spirulina discs in some water for a while. If that's what everyone does, then I'll try that. So, please let me know how to be successful with the BBS. Thanks for your help. Scheibe |

Just check some LFS, they are fairly common and at least one store is bound to have some. If not, i can get the name of the kind that my store has and post it and see if you can get one of your LFSs to order it in for you. ~Jorge |
