	Platys hiding?
Mia Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 79 Votes: 2 Registered: 20-Mar-2005	I am cycling my tank (75g) right now with 5 platys and every morning the first thing I do is make sure they are all still there. Well this morning all I saw was one swimming around by its self, I then freaked out thinking that they were all dead. But I couldn't see any little bodies, so I moved some stuff around and found them all (hiding, or sleeping or whatever they were doing) in a fake little stump. So I was just wondering what anyone thinks they were doing? Are they stressed? Or scared? Or am I freaking out for no reason?

Last time I had some they tended to go into a hole in a fake branch I had in my 29 gallon. I believe their reason was due to my overly-stressfull Dwarf Gourami, Pig. He never hurt the little guys, just sorta stalked them every time he got the chance. Since you have a 75 gallon tank, I'd normally assume you have more than just five platies in there.
