I have 3 Mickey Mouse platies, one male & two females. The smaller female is being bullied by the other two and has now developed fin rot (I presume from the stress).

I could move her to another tank that currently only has 4 zebra danios, but I'm not sure if this would be even more stressful.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to stop the bullying?

What size is your tank? For starters, the danios would probably be happiest with at least 6. Sometimes it helps to get another female, but do not do it unless you can fit them all.

Get a bunch of plants to hide in. Plastic is ok.

You could put the least one in a bucket with a sponge or box filter for a while.

Stress coat or melafix might help the fins.

Unfortunately I don't have room for another female. My tank is at maximum capacity now - I was a victim of lfs overstating how many fish I could put in a 22l tank (I have now read up and know better).

I did add some stress coat and a new bushy plant yesterday and she certainly seems much better today.
