The problem with swordtail or any livebearer is that they can reproduce extremely fast and you must consider this with your stocking.
Can you be more specific on zebras.

Badgers,

You are all over the place . In another thread you ask:
2x platies
3x Flame tetras
1x red tailed shark
7x zebras
4x peppered corys
And i want a flying fox yes or no??
What is that all about? Why don't you simply create one thread and discuss all the options at once?

And on the Swords. If you have mixed males and females within the Platy/Sword group you will have cross-breeding.

Have fun,

Ingo

by red tail shark do you mean http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/264.htm this fish?

also if you do mean that fish, i would say that you should get rid of that fish as it is not a peaceful community fish, especially in a tank that size it could cause problems with your other fish.

by 7 zebras do you mean zebra danios?

im sorry but to know what you're talking about we'll need more information.

Yep, platies and swords will cross breed. Personally, i think you should get rid of the RTBS (assuming that's what it is) because they suggest a 55 minimum for these guys. I think that then you should up your tetras to 7 or 8, but as you have 3 groups of shoaling fish (tetras, zebras, corys) you really don't have room for anything else.

Badgers,

Don't worry, you didn't offend me

But I am sorry. It appears as if I upset you with my entry, otherwise I wouldn't know why you had to capitalize parts of your response.

So, if you don't mind, let me try to rephrase it:

From my experience, when people ask about additional fish for their setup then it happens very often that they discuss multiple species, except if they have their mind made up already and just want confirmation that their vision is feasible. I did not quite understand in which camp you fall with these two entries. Did that mean that you changed your mind or did it show that you are looking for multiple options (or at least two). The one think I don't like to do is to make an effort to help and spend my time responding to an entry that is obsolete (in case the Fox option is no longer hip). In case you are open for multiple options then I still believe making one entry with the possibility if evaluating them in comparison would have been a more focussed approach.

Do you know what I mean? Seriously - I did not intend to provoke you in any way.

ok... well all you people could dwell on that. but im kinda tryin to let it go. Its funny how the only post i saw chelaine write was one to tell me off... sounds like that brings sumeone the jollies. I was gonna let that be in the past, but i guess that some people LOVE pointing out other peoples bad sides. but thats ok, i REALLY dont care, cuz i think its in the past but i guess some people have to dwell on the smallest things. I didnt think people took these fish that serious.

How about we talk about fish A misunderstanding is a misunderstanding, no one meant to offend anyone.

I agree with the above, depending on the sex of the fish, they will crossbreed. Any idea what sex your platies are?
