houston Fish Guru You want what when? Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 | seems as though when the blood is flowing and he is excited then he ends up with more blood in his tail, thus the light doesn't go through as well, and it really darkens what color you are seeing...that is just my opinion, but it seems good, doesn't it? Well, Buddy - the endler's sized one, he does that with his coloring. I find that in the early AM, while just the room light is on and he is just beginning to practice his courtship poses with his friend, Cobra, he is soooooo colorful. His tail goes from Michigan Blue to Michigan Maize, with white in between. It is just brilliant. But, as the day goes on, it turns almost transparent. I find it is more brilliant when he is feeding too. He's been doing that for the entire two years that I've had him. Cobra, he stays one color - that greenish gold. Here's one blurry pic for comparison to the second pic I'll upload. Neither are good quality, but you can see how he changes colors. Cory_Di attached this image: |
