You will get some sunset babies and some dalmation babies, the two color forms are very far apart and hard to breed to get mixed results. It is not very common to get the two color forms to mix to create a new one.

Well, I didn't have mollies... but platys are very similar... One of my gorgeous blue and white (no spots) platy females spawned with an orange, black spotted and black finned male... Result of fry were anything from white fins (from MOM) to black fins (Dad), colors were mixed - but primarily either blue sheen with black spots or orange with black spots... Had a few fish with shades of even yellow and brown! But all the fry had black spots somewhere on their bodies!!!! .... In this particular case, I felt that the Dad had the dominant genes in regard to the spots!
I did have a silver Molly male breed with a heavily black spotted Dalmation female --- but since they spawned in my community tank, we've only seen three fry so far.... Their coloring is more white with limited black spots --- but since they are probably only a 1/2" or less right now, that coloring could change!
No matter how your fry turn out --- I'm sure you'll enjoy the babies! I know I do! Good Luck!

To thine own self be true...

I think that you'll have some of both, some like the male & some like the female.
