for ages I have had a "liverbearer tank" with platies, mollies and guppies in. it hasn't really worked, many have got sick and although they had babies my beloved mollies havent.

well due to illness and fighting with bettas, i decided to shift everyone round. now i have one tank with mollies only, the remaining platy babies and one adult that survived the disease have moved to the big tank and the guppy babies are all downstairs in the living room.

I have to say I am very pleased with how the tanks look, new plants, three new mollies (all jet black). the platies have moved in to the clown loach tank(bit random but we shall see) and look good, the tank is getting vERY orange.

downstairs in the 12 g hex the guppies are settling in well, also with new plants.

i wish i had a decent camera i could show off properly then!

the point of this was to show off! having spent the whole with buckets and dechlor and nets and plastic bags to acclimatise, the results are well worth it!

Congratulations GFG I'm glad something is going well with your fish, and glad that you are happy with your livebearers...sometimes it is only a matter of moving folks around for everyone to be happy, and you've done that

No seriously, that sounds like a major overhaul for the better. I also wish you had a camera (I want one too) because a lot gets lost in the translation from image to words. I hope for you that your mollies will soon reward you for it with lots of babies.
