Mom is a blue/black mettalic, dad a wild guppy. A large percentage of the fry have a deep purple, almost black body and the tail is orange with black markings. Right now they look silver/grey with black speckles. I'm curious about their eventual coloring...potential parents are a blue Mickey Mouse, orange wag, green wag, half blue-half orange wag :%) Theresa_M attached this image: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 | Thanks Theresa, he was one of the best looking at the lfs (very small lfs) and he was definately a happy camper at schoolnow at home in the 29 there are 2 males, 5 females, and so many fry I wouldn't ever think about counting My 20 gallon has 2 boys and 1 girl that are all siblings, the blue boy in that tank was a girl until about a month ago...talk about a late bloomer Now in that tank it's back to antbed status, and all the fry from school are in there with them:%) Gotta love guppies, every 28-32 days you've got babies, and as the female gets older the number of fry increase:%)It's for this reason I don't blame KTS's Sunshine (female guppy) from bailing out of the feeder basket EDIT: Theresa is it just me or do you love just waiting to see when they will get their coloring? And it always seems to come almost over nightgotta love the guppiesyour's are beautiful, and Halloween? I'd never thought of that, I have a few as well houston attached this image: Last edited by houston at 03-Jun-2005 15:47[/font] "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." labrakitty Fish Addict Posts: 740 Kudos: 435 Votes: 9 Registered: 12-Nov-2004 | Mine would have been my Lyre tail guppy. He was yellowish with redish pinky streaks and 2 blue dots on both sides, he also shined purplsih in the light, I lost him to my AWFUL FILTER which I got rid of. Also my little platy (4months) that was completely bright bright orangey red all over. There was no touch of any other colour. A few day ago little blackberry suddenly fell sick, and passed away the next day.:#(:#(:#(:#(:#( But since those two are noit with us anymore, it would be probably have to be my rather large female platy Speckles. She is pinkish peach, with black speckles all over her body, she also have a sort of black stripe over her tail. She is very beautiful. /:' |
