i have a 50 g tank with 5 sword tails(1 male, 4 female) 3 sail fin mollys (2 male,1 female) and 2 gourmaie(moon beam, and snake skin) and a pair of kribs. i have been noticeing that (the tank is somewhat bare and not set up 4 breeding) one day the females are fat, then the next day they are skinny. which i am guessing that they released there babys and they got eatten. which other fishes in the tank can be eatting them.

Everything in that tank would eat the little fry if they had the chance.

Everything including trhe parents of the babys will eat them in that tank. If you want any babys to survive while still in the mian tank, you will need to add some thick clumps of plants for them to hide in. Or you can remove the moms to another tank to have fry there. Depends on wether you want to raise fry or not.

the babies are really small when born so they are  e to every tank mate there.... if you get a breeding trap they will have the babies.. the babies will fall through the holes so the mother doesnt eat them.. but some can still get through the holes to the tank so you can put mesh around the breeding trap...guppies will reproduce every 3 weeks.. put some floating plants in the trap and bits of plants in there so the babies have a stronger chance of survival.. also feed the mother inside of the trap with some blood worms to keep her full from chowing down on her own fry..

I have been reading your posts on swordtails. I had mine for the last four months and seems that they never got hit or at least I never noticed when they were. I do not add salt to my tank because I hace other fish which could not tolerate salts like my angelfish and red tailed shark. I seem to notice that one of my swordtails is having an orange like gravid spot and the ventral part is increasing but not too much compared with the others. I do not know what to do because this is the first time I am noticing such changes because last time it was like this I think it dropped the fry and most probably got eaten. In case she is hit, I do like to save the fry if possible. I have another tank where I can place her.

Gouramis are definitely fry-eaters. In my experience all livebearers except Endler's will eat their own as well.

All the fish will eat fry, you can try to put the pregnant fish in a breeding tank & raise the fry.
