i have a sunrise molly who is within days of giving birth and is in a breeders net wen the babies are born should i take out the mother to prevent her from eating the fry or do they need her

Yes she will eat them, they need to be in a plastic breeder what hangs on the tank, or a tank of their own, or some fishkeepers let them take their chance in the main tank, if they are plenty of hiding spaces they will survive, feed crushed flakes, and baby brime strimp.

Don't like the nets they stress the mother out to much, their is see through plastic breeders where the babies can swim below from the mother,I collect the babies when they are born and put them in a special breeder container that hangs on the front of the tank.

If you already have her in the breeding net, it is probably best to leave her there until after the fry are born. I think it would stress her out more if you try to move her now.

ok thank you all for your help as soon as they are born i will notify u and tell everyone how it went but shes doing good and shes eating and swimming(as much as she can in the little net) so ill let you know soon
