devon7 Big Fish Posts: 475 Kudos: 356 Votes: 4 Registered: 31-Aug-2004 | What are those tiny guppies sold as feeders at my LFS? the males are beautiful, I have some in my tank as decoration because the owner kindly picked them out for me, but I don't actually know what they are! |

hca Fish Addict Posts: 783 Kudos: 434 Votes: 211 Registered: 06-Mar-2004 | yep, thats what they look like, my guess would be they are hybrids. at my lfs, they have the prettys/ males in one tank , and the dull/ females in another-as feeders for 2 diff prices.. And a 3rd tank has lyretailed ones for a bit more. They are cute, and I like lil fish.... Males , like all live bearers will have a godopodium, and are usually brghter colored. The females are drabber, no godopodium |
