I think you need to check on your water conditions... seems odd that you've had such a rash of deaths in a short period of time. Of course, it could just be a nasty run of bad luck, I guess.

Anyway, congrats on the babies. In my experience, my fry have started to show colors at 2-3 weeks old. Of course, all my fry are from yellow parents, so the color is very light and sometimes hard to see.

i took my female guppie in from her pond to give birth in peace well after i think 3 or 4 days this morning i saw 4 babys so i looked at the mother and she was much thinner so i removed her and put her in a 1 gallon with some more spanish moss just incase she wasnt done giving birth. well after an houre of rest i returned her to the pond where she eagerly swam away to be greeted by the rest of the school. well i moved the moss in the birthing pail and low and behold lots more fry well i was happy. next i moved them to the 1 gallon after a second cleaning. i removed the gravel and put a neon ordimentwith a plant so they would feen comfortable, next i fed them yolk and flake. so, did i do everything right? oh yea they have a lamp on them so they get the light they need for their spines to come normal.

congrats, u did everything right. i also have a 1G for my fry, i feed em Hikari First Bites. at first the fry didnt really know that it was food so there were alot of left overs and i had to do almost daily water changes but now theyve grown up a bit and learned to eat the food.

btw if one has a spine deformity, let it live for a while. one of mine has a deformity and its gone now, my sister made me keep it and it has out grown it's deformity

Fry need to be fed 3-4 times a day, so frequent water changes are necessary. First Bites is a good food. I also make my own fry mix...spirulina flake, tropical flake, freeze dried blood worms and shrimp pellets. Put in a bag, crush til it's a powder and store in a covered container.

Congrats

Congrats on your babies. You did just fine. Also remember to feed the fry 3 times aday. I feed by molly fry baby Brine and betta bits. The bigger ones just love the betta bits.

You did everything just fine!! Congratulations on your babies

With a 1 gallon and basically always with Egg, you will need to do water changes. The egg though very good for the fry, is not good for the water so you will have to stay on top of that. I have always used just crushed flakes and mine are fine. Hikari also sells a crushed powder like flake called first bites, that works well too
