ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | The guppies are fine now. It was just because they were new and the other fish had to take a look at their new roommates. The danios were my least of problems.... believe it or not. And the angel its minding its own business. I am going to get a tank divider if things get worse and I am going to get rid of the danios soon. Maybe i should sell the angel too and just restock the whole tank. |

houston Fish Guru You want what when? Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 | I know it's too late, but I still wouldn't put those guppies in that tankthe angel is going to have a field day, as will the danios...I still think you should up the schools of cardinals and corries...but that is just me...I keep thinking how large that angel is going to grow, and the cardinals would be safer in larger numbers.... katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | I have never heard of black neons being particularly nippy. Id watch them for a few days and see what happens. As far as having a guppie tank goes, make sure you have a plan for when there is too many fry. Having a fish to keep the population down is a good idea. Maybe try: 4 males 8 females 1 pearl or dwarf gourami 6 cories of the same species and the 6 black neons if you want them. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | Well that angel seems to be up to no good. I think hes a bit curious and is still chasing the guppies but I think he will give up soon. There was only one close call but the guppy swam away. Those danios are going today or tomorrow... and a good thing too. One of them is trying to nip the fins. EDIT: I think i am going to convert into an all guppy tank . The black neon tetras are at it too . Is this because they are new? Will this go down after time? Last edited by ericm at 19-Jul-2005 07:10 |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | It was. Good guess. I freed him and he was fine but he swam in the same corner. But i turned off the lights and he swam away. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | One of them is on the gravel in the corner of the tank. Is this normal or did the angel attack it? He looks perfectly fine. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | The guppies look a bit small but i dont think they will fit in the angels mouth. Will there be any problems? |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | Well i didnt want to get too many right now until I get rid of the danios and I will add a female or two once the danios are out. |

katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | Once you get rid of the danios, i suggest getting another female. Having more girls than boy guppies keeps the boys from stressing out the females by trying to breed with them non-stop. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | How many guppies is a good number to have in a 32g tank. Stocking is in profile. I was thinking 3 or 4. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | What if i got 4 or 5 with the danios in still but that would be temporary and I would move out the danios soon? Edit: How about 2 males and 3 females... and as soon as i find a lfs to take them ill get rid of the danios. Last edited by ericm at 18-Jul-2005 14:18 |

katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | If you got rid of the danios id say 3-6 guppies would be fine. Remember to keep a 1m/2fm ratio. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | The angel is no more than 4 inches. I think he will be fine.. I do have cardinals in there and he leaves them alone. I was only plannig to have 3 anyways and I guess breeding would come naturally if i got a male and female. What if i got rid of the danios? |

katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | IMO, your tank is fully stocked, especially the top and mid region. If you really must have them, i say no more than 3. I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

ericm Fish Addict Posts: 573 Kudos: 448 Votes: 47 Registered: 21-Aug-2004 | I was thinking 1 male and 2 or 3 females, because they will breed and although my angel may eat the fry I can put some in a breeding net. |
