1.what do guppy fry eat?
You can feed them crushed up flake food you normally feed the adults, just drop a few flakes in your palm and mash it with your finger.

2.how big r they when they r born?
Very tiny but larger then egg laid fry.Gona look like transparent tadpoles, prolly half the size of the females tail.

3.Can u give me some pictures of guppy fry?
Might be able to post a pic of some fry.

4.where can i buy the fry food at?
Any pet store should carry it, walmart included.

5.What do i do with them when they r old enough 2 sell?
About 2 months or so depending on temperture and feeding regement.

6. any tips?
Use a sepperate tank to keep the fry if you want many to servive, coudl place the mother in there till shes done giving birth. Adults are known to eat the fry. If you dont have a spare tank for them you could use floating plants and clusterd plants on the bottom for them to hide in this works well. plastic or real dont matter.

I found this description on another website:

Approximate growth rates of the Guppy. Please keep in mind that this will vary according to care (especially feeding), and genetics. However, I have included this for general reference. Please note that females may grow much larger than the males.

Male Body length not including tails.

New born: 6 mm
One Week: 7 mm
Two Weeks: 1 cm
One month: 1.5 cm
Two months: 2 cm
Three months: 2.5 cm
Six months: 3 - 3.3 cm
Full grown: 3.5 - 4 cm

I've never had guppys so I don't know how accurate this chart actually is but I hope it helps some.

I would only add a few things to what Sin in Style already said.

You will need to feed the fry small amounts four or five times a day. In addition to crushed (to a powder) flakes, fry also like to eat baby brine shrimp. You can "grow" your own or purchase the frozen cubes at your local fish supply store.

It isn't necessary but fry prefer the water to be warmer - like around 80°F. They will eat more but they will also grow faster, which is important since they are born so tiny !

This also means you will need to do more frequent water changes due to the added population. Water changes in itself seems to spur growth.

Have fun and let us know how its going !!

Sin in Style, wherever you got those pics, those gold guppies are gorgeous.

Anyway, crushed up flake is what I feed my fry, and they're doing just fine. There are alternates, though. I haven't been able to find it locally, but there is a solution called Liquifry for Livebearers. I think it's the #2 solution. They have different varieties, so be sure to get it for Livebearers if you find it.

Another option is very, very tiny rolled up egg yolk. This can pollute the water however, so you're better off with crushed flake or Liquifry.

those pics are of my own tank about 8 months ago or so when i first began. actually its closer to a yr now. those were 2 adult guppies that servived a fin rot onsalught in my tank. after it was cleared up the fmeale decided she would replace my stock i guess lol cuz i got 2 batches of fry shortly after. she was all gold with a red tail. wasnt fully red though, this wasnt caused by rot. all the fry had the same 3/4 red tail lol. funny to see 20 duplicates of the same fish swimming around.
no longer have them, they kept reproducing to the point my 29g was strictly guppies or it would crash so i donated them.

Babies are tiny, I'll see if I can get any pictures of my fry, they are less than a week old, probably a day or two for the newest batch...

I just leave them in the tank with some plants to hide in and they are fine and dandy...

When I tried to move a couple of moms to be once, they refused to drop their fry, until back in their home tanks...

To crush my fish food, I just stick it into a ziplock bag, zip it tight, and roll the bag between my hands till the food is dust, then to feed you can just tip from the bag carefully...

Best of luck, and I'll see if I can get some pictures for you tonight and post tomorrow, but, it really depends on whether the fry will cooperate...in actuality the fry will be about the size of "I" a bit larger, and will be see through...look around at the bottom of the tank near the substrate, and in the plants, that's where mine usually hover, and when they are first born mine always seem to swim in darting motions, not the swimming of a normal fish...

i feed my baby mollies and endlers fine crushed flakes. and it isn't worth it to sell the babies. just leave them and keep a large family together for many years. in whole sale guppies are sold in pairs for about .50 a pair(trust me i know something about the wholesale fish trade) so a lfs would probably buy them from a wholesaler. unless these are albino king cobra award winning fish then they probably wont be much $$$ so u can give them out to friends and family or just leave them.
