My question is can the guppy and platy breed? I have no idea of the sex of the platy. They had them all in one tank at petco. I assume it's a male.....don't know how to tell the difference. |

It's to my knowledge that platys and guppies are too distantly related to breed. As for figuring out the sex, look at the anal fin. If it is fan shaped, it is a female. If it looks pointy, it is a male. |
