CubbyF Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Aug-2004  | I have a 5g tank(it's my daughter's), anyway I have one male guppy, a platy and a dwarf gourami. My question is can the guppy and platy breed? I have no idea of the sex of the platy. They had them all in one tank at petco. I assume it's a male.....don't know how to tell the difference. |

As for figuring out the sex, look at the anal fin. If it is fan shaped, it is a female. If it looks pointy, it is a male. |
