Endlers are much smaller. You buy them at about 2cm and they will not grow much bigger than that. Guppies you will not see at that size in lfs and they get to about 5-7cm. Endlers have much mroe mixed colours as guppies can come in very plain colours like metallic blue and red. what colour are htey? and how big are they?

they are all sorts of colors, some have sword extentions too, 1 has yellow double swords in the morn, and at night they are black, he is very cool, i called him forkey, because he looks like he has a 2 prog fork but they are black, orange,(every one has these 2 colors) reds, pinks, blues, greens, purples too, and they are very small, i thought i was stunting them some how they werwe in a understocked 30, but i mooved them to a 10, because im going to be selling them and i want them, ah, handy they have cute litle *i wanna mate with ya* dances, they shimmer, then twirll in a circle, its very cute, no onder i had to seperate them from the girls

Probobly Endlers I have seen lots of double swords, guppy rarely come in double swords or lyretails.(I was lucky and got a beautiful lyre tail wiht a body of a wild guppy, the poor hting lived through gill flukes, oodinium and camallanus worms!)

male endlers are real small, and i think they only come in double swords if i'm not mistaken? (as i'm writing this post, i just got my 2nd delivery of endlers. yayyyyyyy!) the odds are, you didn't get endlers at your lfs. more than likely, you got wild guppies, which are just as nice. either way, you got nice little fun guys to watch and enjoy!

Definitely guppies. The double swordtail on Endler's is much less, er, flashy. Like this guy:

And the real difference between wild-type/common guppies and Endler's? Two bucks and a label. If they weren't bought as Endler's, they aren't Endler's. Wild-type guppies are wonderful fish on their own terms; hoping for an Endler in the mix just means endangering the already pathetic Endler gene pool. Sorry, but unless you're absolutely certain it's an Endler's - assume it's a wild-type guppy. There are probably a hundred million of the latter to every one of the former.[/font]

well, do endlers mature faster than guppies? because it seems that they, although younger by aa few weeks are already almost in full color, while my male guppies are just starting to get it on their tails

It's more likely to be variation from fish to fish that you're seeing rather than from species to species.
