years back i was having trouble keeping my grandpa's endlers alive. a few years ago i did breed them but they were crossed to on of my fancy males]:|. anyway i got this hybred male. are hybreds more restistant to deiseases b/c he was the only guppies i have had for more than 4 years, also it lasted trough desieases.

In this case, I'd say no. Think of it this way: guppies and Endler's are susceptible to the same diseases. They're very closely related, and they have very similar life cycles and everything associated with that. Combining the two doesn't affect their immune system any more than crossing two guppies.

As LittleMousling said, no it shouldn't matter, but...

Like humans, he may have had a very strong immune system, with the "genes" to live a longer life...Heck anything is possible, the only true way to know is to check his prodigy and see if they have any of the similar traits of avoiding disease, and living a long life...then you would know...Heidi
