katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | Mollies are too big for a 2.5 gallon. The only things id put in there are a betta, shrimp, snails, or dwarf frogs. Also, if your going to keep asking the same question keep it to one thread. Threads take up space on the Fishprofiles server and redundant threads waste the space. A betta can survive in less than a 1g container that doesn't mean it's a good way to keep one. The fact it's alive, swimming, and eating is not a good way to judge fish happiness. |

They are just shorter because of their spinal deformity, but the bodies are the same size (making them unsuitable for a 2.5 gallon). ronnfive Enthusiast Posts: 188 Kudos: 219 Votes: 0 Registered: 28-Jul-2004 | okay derek, you could put one balloon molly in there... it might work cause balloon molly's max size is 2 inches. Take note "Balloon molly." edit: although it is much better for bigger tank but... you can give it a try... cause i did try once, 2 balloon mollies (again that's "2 inches" in 5.5 g planted tank and do daily 10% water change. katieb Fish Addict Posts: 697 Votes: 69 Registered: 03-Jul-2004 | After 14 threads on the same topic, I have a feeling Derek doesnt want honost, informed answers. He'd much rather have someone tell him that he can put whatever he wants in there, even if the tank is horribly overstocked. Ethan14 Big Fish Posts: 312 Kudos: 339 Votes: 18 Registered: 06-Jul-2005 | yet another question about your 2.5 gallon tank. many people have given you answers before and a mollies just aren't fit for a 2.5 gallon. Is it not possible to get a larger tank?! |
