In the main tank though 'the boys' have been driving my only adult-and quite pregnant-female crazy :%) I bought a divider and put it in today; the fry have a slightly larger portion of the tank. Her side has some floating hornwort, and the tank itself has a sponge filter and heater. I honestly can't remember the last time she gave birth so I don't know how much more of a wait it will be. I figured this gave her more room than a breeding trap and would be less stressful...so is this a good setup? Theresa_M attached this image: ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Sponge filter and bare bottom is a good setup- did you run the sponge filter in a cycled tank first to have it precolonized with bacteria? http://www.fishprofiles.com/site/aquarank.aspx |
