it means that it differs from the rest of its family and lays eggs instead..... it doesn't say its a livebearer who lays eggs.... that wouldn't make sense..

Its just an egglayer. Livebearers always means to give birth to live young.
Baby guppies start as an egg, and develop in the mother guppy's uterus until birth, just like in a human, but it only takes 28-34 days for gestation.
Egglayers lay eggs which then are fertilized externally and develop outside of the parent.

Yeah, that fish is a egglayer, wouldn't make much sense to say it gives birth to live young, but to do that the eggs need to be layed first.

That is very interesting. An egglayer that is from a livebearing fish family. I see this fish being changed to a different family once more research has been done.
