mollies as algea eaters? | |
pugperson Fish Addict Posts: 877 Kudos: 953 Votes: 293 Registered: 16-May-2003 | I was window shopping at Aquabid yesterday and someone was auctioning mollies saying they were good algea eaters. Any truth to that? |

Also, there are many color varieties and not as expensive. When i had mollies they did an awesome job at taking care of any green algae that grew on the sides of the tank. Also with mollies you do not need to worry about tank size as much. They will do fine in a tank around 20 gallons, but a pleco will need a huge tank since they grow quickly. |

Petey, my striped rubbernose pleco, does a great job on the glass and rocks but leaves the plants alone.
