are there any water conditions where my black mollies won't breed so much? Now they're in a 10 gal tank with neutral pH at 78 degrees.

Yes...conditions which cause them stress and discomfort (and likely, damage). If you don't want your mollies to spawn, keep only one gender.

I've only got one gender, two females, so I guess they aren't actually breeding. I know the female can store sperm inside her and pop out another batch every several weeks or so. I just kinda wish she'd use it up.

LOL
She will "use it up" eventually. Sometimes it can take up to a year. Perhaps you could put a fish in that would eat fry with them? A dwarf gourami would work well.

Yay, lol. actually, I had them in a tank with a dwarf pleco, h. rasboras and two dwarf gouramis and they all left the fry alone. at least I never saw them messin with the fry. But the the big tank has large (1" polished stone) substrate so the fry had lots of places to go. Actually, I was finding new fry for 5 weeks after she had them. This is her fourth litter since I got her.
