hi~
i have 15 molly surprise babies living in a plastic breeder box, in a relatively new tank that is in cycle. i am concerned about how much to feed them a day because of the amonnia issue. they are a week and a half old. when can they move to the big tank?????
thanks so much!!!!

My personal rule of thumb is "when they are large enough not to be able to fit in any of the other fish's mouths"... Other considerations would have to be given to the agressiveness of the other community fish, etc..... But my first point, when the fish become the non-edible size is the priority of all......
You may now be wondering how long that will take --- depends on the size of your other fish of course --- but at about 3 months of age, my platy babies are now about 1" long....
As far as food, you might want to get some "First Bites" -- it's specifically made for feeding fry.....
Hope this helps!
