Other considerations would have to be given to the agressiveness of the other community fish, etc..... But my first point, when the fish become the non-edible size is the priority of all...... You may now be wondering how long that will take --- depends on the size of your other fish of course --- but at about 3 months of age, my platy babies are now about 1" long.... As far as food, you might want to get some "First Bites" -- it's specifically made for feeding fry.....
