solublefish    Fish Addict Posts: 562 Kudos: 850 Votes: 40 Registered: 27-Feb-2004   | In a tank that small, mollys cannot fit. Mollys reach about 5 inches, and need at least 20-30 gallon tanks. If you want to keep livebearers in that tank, a better option would be platies or guppies. |

I just did some quick reading, and from what I have read, the species Poecilia sphenops is the one that reaches 2.5 inches. However, I would play it safe because you don't know for sure what species your lfs sells. |
