I set up my Endler's tank about a year & a half ago. The original fish were from a two different online breeders and a couple of lfs.

I've posted about a very low ratio of M/F in the tank; right now I have ~12 adult females and 2 adult males as well as fry.

Is there such a thing as overbreeding with livebearers? The few males I get have either very poor coloring or what I would call bent spine. I put two juvenile males in another tank to grow out and they seem weak as well; one didn't last more than 3 days in the new tank.

Everything else with the tank is fine...temp, water params, etc. It's fairly well planted, and besides the Endler's I have two happy otos and a school of pygmy cories.

I'm at a loss as to what I should do at this point; it's not even a matter of deciding between options, I don't even know what my options are. Any ideas or thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Ask your friendly koi if she would send you a few males to help save your gene pool. If you'd like pm me your address. I have too many males and not enough females

I'll definitely PM you

I've been having more deaths and deformed fry unfortunately I moved my four adult males to another tank and I'm culling all fry for the time being. I'm hoping that maybe giving the females a break from breeding might help.
