If I were him, I would take out the guppy, then add either three cories, or one cory and two tetras. I think that if your brother takes good care of the tank, he wouldn't have a problem with those fish. The thing is, both those types of fish should be kept in schools of at least six. |

And he must be a very experienced neon keeper..otherwise how can he tell whether a neon is a male or not ![]() |

froo![]() Fingerling Posts: 48 Kudos: 40 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Jul-2004 ![]() | I think he would be better off removing the guppy and upping both the cory and tetra schools. both of these are very clean fish so he could possibly get away with 4 cories and 6 tetras, depending on the type of cory. |

cichlidiot![]() Hobbyist Posts: 142 Registered: 14-Apr-2004 ![]() | If it were me I would get rid of the guppy and the cories, ad two otto cats, get two more black neons and six regular neons and be sure to do at least a 20% water change once per week. But as I said this is just what I would do. As for the actual question at hand he could do what you asked but cories and tetras are schooling fish and "should" be kept in schools of si ![]() |

There isn't enough room for 2 schools, so I'd get rid of one. For instance, return the cories and get 2 more black neons. You could get 2 ottos if you wish. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |
