could i put some platies in my pond. the only thing im concerned about is with water changes the new water is 55 degrees.

hi i'm new, but hav observed that they can thrive in ponds, here in asia, phillipines... just keep your ponds always clean and they will do well... and add plants to cover the fry!

55 is pretty cold. I put swordtails in my ponds and they did okay but I waited until the pond warmed up to 65. when it got to 75 I added angels but then I had to replace water with warm water from the house.
