my guppy was quite big and preg when i bought her about 2 weeks ago, she had a really large gravid spot when i left her on monday ( i have been away but left mam in charge!) 4 days later she looks huge but the place that was dark looks smaller (but she is bigger) and looks kinda neon next to her bum. is this ok i have never seen this before

I suspect that she is in the process of having the fry. It can take her quite some time to deliver all the fry, but I know on my Guppies the gravid spot does turn redish pink during and after the delivery...start looking closely at the gravel, and plants, I'm willing to bet you will have fry!!!heidi

So Rachel...do you have fry??? Just thought I'd check up and see how she did, also noticed I didn't mention the fact that she will usually stick to the bottom of the tank, near the plants when delivering...And mine always look as though they are huffing and puffing, or that's what it looks like to me, the breathing heavily and "just sitting there"...Heidi
