Janna Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003 | Swordies are the best. They have the best body shape, hands down. The swords on mature males are incredible. Guppy females usually aren't much to look at, platies have really stubby bodies, and mollies have ugly heads. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |

T/A Mega Fish Posts: 942 Kudos: 1796 Registered: 20-Feb-2004 | Swordtails are definitly my favorite. I've just always enjoyed the look of the males. Unfortunatly I haven't personally kept them yet. I currently have room for some, but I don't want to mix them with my Platies. |

kitten Fish Guru Meow? Posts: 2266 Kudos: 2194 Votes: 19 Registered: 18-Nov-2003 | Personally, I've only kept guppies and there's just something about them that I like. Mollies are big and fat and just way too active for me... my sister has them and they're uh *cough* too, uh, involved in having "fun." Like heidi said, my sis has GOT to stop adding viagra to the tank. And there's only males in there! There's something very elegant about swordies and if I had to rank them, swordies would be second place. I like platies, think they're cute, but never had any. I do like livebearers because you can easily feel successful when they breed. I love watching them grow up, and thanks to my brilliant idea of separating males and females, I can control how overwhelmed I am. While it is true that the males are the prettier of the two sexes, I happen to think my guppy girls are QUITE attractive, and love having a tank dedicated to them. ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
