Hi, just wondering if white mollies stay white? just asking as my sister had some spotted mollies that eventually just turned black.

I saw full sized white Mollies here in Malta, but they had a few black spots on them.
They weren't 100% white.

It really depends on there genetics...if they are 100% pure white mollies, then yes, they will stay white, if not then you never can tell:%)only way to know if you don't know the family tree of said mollies is to get them and breed them and find out...hml

... IMO i guess it depends on their background or what sorrounds them, it's like they camouflage to what sorrounds them... i've seen some white (not purely white though, it's like a bit of transluscent) turned into dark brown or greyish with planted background. Maybe hiedi is right about their genes too.

white, or sliver platium. i think they are the same. depends on where they came from. i would think that theyd stay white or silver. but depends on the spawn, if it is a marble, then maybe first it maybe sliverr, and then turn marble.

I have a white molly that so far has stayed white throughout the year i've owned her. She looks like she could have some silver tips on her dorsal fin...

But other than that, i have not personally dealt with color changing.
