I am getting about 1 gal every 2hrs from my new ro unit, but my waste water is full blast like 15 gal of waste to 1/8 of pure gal water so whats wrong??? Thanks

tap water is 48f
water after going though 50ft in 5 gallon bucket with 300 watt heater is 52f

So yeah thats not good now for the output

5oz for 1 gallon wasted or

1 pure to 26 wasted est.

somthing is wrong also why is that my tap water is so cold after the 5 gal bucket with a 300 watt heater and 50ft of line???

If the water input to the unit is super cold(or hot), it will reduce the efficiency of your RO unit. I think target temps are like 60-70f....room temps. I have mine hooked up to a faucet I can control the temperature on during the winter. In the summer you should be able to run straight cold water and be fine.

Our water comes out below 50F year round since it's pulled from underground. Unless it runs through the water heater it's often near freezing so that doesn't seem odd to me. About the only solution is to hook it up to a faucet where you can adjust the temp. You can get an adapter that lets it screw onto the end of the faucet so you don't have to drill any pipes.
